The Two Trees by jankolas The Two Trees by jankolas
Telperion and Laurelin, the Silver Tree and the Gold that brought light to the Land of the Valar in ancient times. They were destroyed by Ungoliant at Melkor's behest, but their last flower and fruit were made by the Valar into the Moon and the Sun.

I know that it wasn't your intention, but I immediately thought of the clangers whence seeing this work...

Very well done, great work... :-)

Krásné dílo. Už dlouho přemýšlím o tom, že bych někdy chtěl vytvořit něco podobného. :-)

What are these made of? Also, can I use this picture solely as a personal reference for a future tattoo? I want to get something about the two trees or them being turned into the sun and moon or some combination.

It is copper wire coloured with silver and golden colour and decorated with strass and pieces of broken mirror. ... and they are standing on the stone ... and yes, you can. :D

Very cool and yay!!! I will definitely show you it when I eventually get it. I'm not even settled on what it will look like yet. I just have some abstract concepts.

I know I'll be getting the three Elven rings at some point too, which will bring my total of Tolkien-themed tattoos to 3....in the future. :)
